Celebrating 100 years of California’s Initiative Process

Hello from Sacramento….I’m attending ( and speaking at) the “100th Anniversary Celebration of California’s Initiative and Referendum.”

Top experts are gathering today in Sacramento to discuss how initiatives have impacted the Golden State. The daylong conference is organized by Citizens In Charge Foundation, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the ballot initiative and referendum process, and sponsored by California Forward and the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Foundation. The event features three panels with a diverse group of speakers, including debates on whether the California initiative process is “the solution” or “the problem.”

The event, entitled “100th Anniversary Celebration of California’s Initiative & Referendum,” begins at 10:00 am on Monday, October 10, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel on 1230 J Street, just blocks from the state capitol in downtown Sacramento, CA.
