The Republican National Committee moved in the right direction today by announcing the addition of Victoria Martinez to their communications team. Martinez joins the staff as “Specialty Media Press Secretary,” among her responsibilities is connecting with Spanish speaking press… This is a great move, as the RNC hasn’t filled this position in almost two years even since Andeliz Castillo moved to the U.S. House of Representatives to serve in Republican leadership.
Having a smart individual on staff that understands, and can connect, with members of the Spanish-speaking media is pivotal in connecting with the Hispanic community and for an effective Latino outreach strategy.
